As bridge-builders and Defenders of the Sacred, we are sickened by the escalating genocide against Palestinians, and are asking everyone to take action with us to demand a ceasefire in Gaza:
We recognize the common bloodthirst and dehumanization between the settler colonial violence experienced by our Palestinian brothers and sisters, and our Native communities across Turtle Island, and worldwide.
We recommend these 2 sources for a deeper dive into the parallels:
Gaza is an open-air prison and one of the most densely populated places on earth. It is under a 16-year blockade that has only grown worse as the Israeli government has cut off all access to food, water, electricity, and medicine. The Israeli military has murdered over 11,000 Palestinians — 4,600 of them children — and threatens the lives of its own citizen hostages, for whom all of this violence is supposedly justified.
The U.S. Congress has the power to put an end to the siege, to Let Gaza Live. 2.2 million Palestinians and 240 Israeli hostages are depending on our mass global movement to stay rising.
37 Members of Congress and counting, including Alma Adams from Charlotte, have signed onto the Ceasefire Now Resolution, thanks to our around-the-clock calls and emails.
